Thank you for your interest in helping us pass laws here in Colorado that help promote healthy shared parenting. Your National Parents Organization (NPO)-CO chapter needs your help. With the help of our national chapter, we are working to raise money so we can conduct a survey of Coloradans viewpoints on shared parenting.
We believe Colorado is similar to other states. Americans are strong supporters of shared parenting. Recent polls conducted by the NPO in Virginia and Wisconsin have shown almost unanimous support for shared parenting (97% support in Wisconsin, 93% support in Virginia). These poll results are already being used to draft and advocate for shared parenting laws in those states. We need your help to raise funds (that will be matched by NPO National) to conduct this important poll in Colorado.
In addition, our State leaders have asked us to provide them with more specifics about what CO needs. Last summer your NPO team worked with CO parents affected by our court system and identified several key areas for improvement. Our goal is to take this information along with the survey to state representatives to make positive lasting change.
By contributing to our campaign for a survey, we will have the data supporting what is truly important to Coloradans. This valuable data about our social structure will allow your NPO-CO Team to work with legislators to make lasting changes in our state. But we need your help.
